How to view images from terminal?

I never explored the way to view images directly through terminal. I usually traverse the whole folder where the image is using GUI and then view the image. Today I found the command to view an image in terminal. It is very simple one :

$ eog image.jpeg

This tip will work for any distro running Gnome, such as Linux Mint. If there is someone like me who like using terminal but use the mouse and  travel through the whole set of folders to see an image, I am sure this would be useful . I liked the command. 🙂
